The first five presidents

The first president was George Washington. He was born in Virginia February 22nd, 1732. George Washington married Martha Dandridge Washington and had 2 stepchildren but none of his own children. His nickname was Father of his country. Washington was 57 at his inauguration and was general in the revolutionary war. He died on December 14th, 1799 from a surgery when they took 35% of blood out of him.

        The second president was John Adams. He was born in Massachusetts October 30th, 1735. John Adams married Abigail Smith Adams and had 5 children named Abigail, John, Quincey, Charles, Thomas, and a daughter who died young. His nickname was Father of American Independence. Adams was 61 at his inauguration and ended the revolutionary war. He died on July 4th, 1826 from a illness on the same day as the 50th anniversary of the independence day and the same day as Thomas Jefferson, the third president.

         The third president was Thomas Jefferson. He was born in Virginia April 13th, 1743. Thomas Jefferson married Martha Jefferson and had 5 children named Martha Jefferson Randolph, Lucy Elizabeth Jefferson, Jane Jefferson, Mary Jefferson Eppes, and Peter Jefferson. His nickname was Father of the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson was 57 years old at his inauguration and yet was in no war. He died by an illness just like John Adams and on the same day to, July 4th, 1826.

         The fourth president was James Madison. He was born in Virginia on March 16th, 1751. James Madison married Dolley Payne Todd Madison and had no children. His nickname was Father of the Constitution. Madison was 57 years old at his inauguration on March 4th, 1809 and was in War of 1812. He died on June 28th, 1836 when he was 85 and the reason why he died was because of a heart failure.

         The fifth president was James Monroe. He was born in Virginia on April 28th, 1758. James Monroe married Elizabeth Monroe and had 2 children named Elizabeth and Maria and a son who died young. His nickname was Era Of Good Feelings President. Monroe's first inauguration was on March 4th, 1817 and was in the secretary of war. He died on July 4th,1831 at age 73 from a heart failure and tuberculosis.

The 40th president was Ronald Reagan. He was born in Tampico February 6th, 1911. Ronald Reagan married Nancy Davis Reagan and had 4 children named Maureen, Micheal, Patricia, and Ronald. His nickname was The Great Communicator and The Gripper. Reagan was 69 years old at inauguration and was in the cold war. He died on June 5th, 2004 at age 93 from Alzheimer's disease.

The 41st president was George H.W. Bush. He was born in Massachusetts June 12th, 1924. George H.W. Bush married Barbara Pierce Bush and had 6 children named George, Robin, John, Neil, Marvin, and Dorothy. His nickname is Poppy Chief Spook. Bush was 64 at inauguration and was in the Gulf War. He is still alive and living alive right now.

The 42nd president was Bill Clinton. He was born in Hope August 19th, 1946. Bill Clinton married Hillary Rodham Clinton and had a child named Chelsea. His nickname was Bill and Comeback Kid. Clinton was 46 at his inauguration and was in no war but ordered missiles to be fired. He is still alive and moved back to  his family.

The 43rd president was George W. Bush he is George H.W. Bush's son. He was born in New Haven, CT. He married Laura Lane Welch Bush and had 2 children named Jenna and Barbara and they were twin. His nickname is W pronounced Dubya. He was 54 at inauguration and was in the Iraq War. He is still alive and doing fine.

 The 44th president is Barack Obama. He was born in Hawaii. He married Michelle Vaughn Robison Obama and has 2 children named Malia and Sasha. He doesn't have a nickname unlike all the other presidents because he is still the president. He was 54 at inauguration and was in the Philippines war. He is still alive and doing great in presidency.

  • Most of those presidents were born in Virginia
  • Most of them have birthdays on double digit days for example Feb. 22, 1919
  • All of them served in wars

Differences

  • The challenges they faced were very different because of their era
  • They have different personalities (you can tell by their nicknames)
  • They all had different jobs before they became presidents
